RAID 2.0 transition

Tato is transitioning to the new RAID system on August 16, 2026. Review and track any RAID items you want to preserve before then — untracked and closed items will be archived.

Why we're making this change

We've built a new system for managing Risks, Actions, and Decisions (Issues coming soon) that better aligns with industry standards and gives us more flexibility with automations. With the new system, you can expect:

  • Fewer new RAID items generated, with a bigger focus on clarity and simplicity
  • RAID items rebuilt from the ground up to look and work the way most teams already expect
  • RAID items that are easier to create and update agentically — upload a file to extract or update many items at once, update them via chat (including through the Teams integration), and fine-tune how Tato extracts and updates items using natural language prompts
  • Clearer update tracking, pointing you directly to the source of a change (e.g. the exact sentence in a transcript that caused the update)
  • Risks can now be linked to Action Items and Decisions, so you can trace mitigations and root causes across related RAID items

Timeline

July 20 — transition begins

You'll be prompted in the app to review your existing RAID items and track any you want to preserve. You'll also be able to switch to the new views to preview the new content and experience.

August 3 — new experience becomes the default

The new RAID experience becomes the default view. You can still manually switch back to the old experience to finish tracking any items you want to port over.

August 16 — migration completes

  • RAID items marked Tracked migrate to the new system, with their full history preserved
  • All closed and untracked RAID items are archived
  • All Changes, Assumptions, and Issues (CAI) items are archived
  • Archived CRAAID items remain accessible on request, but are no longer processed, tracked, or shown in the UI
  • RAID items are processed with the new pipeline, making them simpler, clearer, and less noisy
  • CAI processing is paused — no new CAI items are generated until further notice

What to do before August 16

  • Review your open RAID items in the RAID Log or from meeting summaries
  • Track any item you want preserved in the new system
  • Dismiss anything that's no longer relevant, or leave it — untracked items are archived automatically, not deleted
