Chat
Tato's chat makes it easy to ask questions on meetings, projects, reports, and just about any kind of project activity data.
How to access chat
Open chat from the bottom of your screen or dock it to the side. You can also open a full-screen chat using the Chat link in the main menu — and chat works well on mobile browsers too.
Chat sources
Chat automatically updates its sources based on where you are in the app. When you're on a project, it chats with that project. On a meeting, it chats with that meeting. On a scope node in the Explorer, it chats with that topic.
Use the @ button in chat to manually add any other sources — meetings, uploaded files, and more.
You can even chat with Reports, asking questions about the report's content directly.
Building report templates with chat
When assembling a report template, open chat and give it instructions to add template blocks for you. Tato currently supports text and table-based components.
What else can chat do?
Chat is context-aware. If you see a risk that's slightly off or less important than Tato thinks, just tell Tato in chat to correct it.
Soon, you'll be able to chat with just about any part of Tato (like your risk logs), and we'll enhance how much you can use chat to influence Tato's knowledge. Eventually, chat will be able to write back to Tato's knowledge and automate writing out to other connections (like Azure DevOps, Jira, etc.).
