Welcome to Tato
Someone on your project shared this page because your team works with Tato. Two minutes here and you'll know what it is, what it changes for you, and how to get your first answers from it.
Tato is an AI co-pilot for project teams. It joins your project's meetings and channels, captures what happens, and turns it into a knowledge base the whole team can ask: decisions, risks, actions, answers. The project documents itself, so you don't have to.
What changes for you
Honestly, not much.
- Tato Assistant shows up in project meetings like any participant. It waits in the lobby and announces itself when it joins.
- Meetings, channels, and documents it's added to are captured and summarized automatically.
- Meeting minutes write themselves. When you need to know what happened, you check Tato.
Tato only sees what it's invited to. If a conversation turns private, anyone can remove it from the call.
Your first 15 minutes
- Sign in at
yourcompany.tato.cowith your Microsoft account - Open your project's Activity page and click into a recent meeting: summary, notes, and everything that was said
- Ask a question in Chat, about that meeting or the whole project: "what did we decide about X?"
- Tell Tato who you are: click your name in the bottom left, open Account settings, and add a sentence about your role under User context. Tato uses it to tailor its answers to you
- Contribute back: in Account settings → Meetings, connect your calendar and set your join rules, so your project meetings flow into the knowledge base too
Everyday wins
- Missed a meeting? Tato sends you a recap in Teams, and the full summary is on the Activity page.
- Need an answer? Ask in Chat: "what did we decide about X?", "what's blocking Y?". Every answer links to who said it, when, and where.
- Only care about one part? Catch up on a single topic, a functional stream, or last week's meetings, without wading through everything else.
- Meeting happened in another language? Read it and ask about it in yours.
Want to lean in?
Every rollout has a project champion and the Tato team behind it. If you're curious, say so: early adopters help choose the reports and automations the project runs on, and they get direct support from the Tato team to build them. Ask your rollout owner who to talk to.
Frequently asked questions
Is Tato recording me?
Only in meetings it's admitted to, and it says so when it joins. It can be removed at any time, and admins can delete any capture. See Data sharing & security.
Can Tato read my private chats or email?
No. Tato only accesses meetings, channels, and documents it's explicitly added to, like any other team member.
Do I have to do anything for it to work?
Just include it: invite tato@yourcompany.com to project meetings the way you'd invite a colleague, and connect your calendar so that happens automatically. Adding Tato has the details.
