Adding Tato to interactions

Tato can be added to calls, chats, emails, documents, and project management applications.

What can Tato access?

Tato is just like any other team member. It has an email address (tato@yourcompany.com) and can only access data that this email address is given access to. If you don't see Tato on a call, it is not listening. If you don't see Tato in a chat, it cannot read it. The same concept applies to every type of interaction.

Tato agent in the meeting lobby

When you add Tato to a meeting, the Tato agent joins the lobby and must be admitted to the call. Once in, the Tato agent will give a visual cue to inform participants that the call is being recorded.

Connect your calendar for auto-join

It's recommended that you connect your calendar so Tato can see which meetings it should join. Meetings you own will show up. Auto-join can be configured in Settings → Meetings.

There are two Tato agents — which is mine?

In some cases, two companies working together on a project may both be Tato customers and have their own agents (tato@company1.com and tato@company2.com). In calls, you'll see the agent's email address.

If you've interacted with another company's Tato agent, you might see multiple agents in your dropdown. Other company agents will say "Tato Assistant (external)" — yours will not have the "(external)" tag. To be extra sure, type the full email tato@yourcompany.com.

If Tato didn't join, what can I do?

If the agent didn't join your meeting due to a technical problem, you can upload any recordings of your meetings directly from the Activity page using the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
