Files from chat

Ask Tato chat for a file, and it writes one from your project: a status deck, a risk tracker, a steering committee report. Tato makes Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF files. There's nothing to set up.

Ask Tato for a Word, Excel, PowerPoint or PDF file

Just ask Tato

  1. Open chat from a project, a meeting or anywhere in Tato.
  2. Say what you need, who it's for and which format you want.
  3. Tato gathers what it needs from your project, then writes the file. It shows up in the chat as a card you can download.
  4. Want changes? Reply in the same chat, and Tato makes a new version.

Be specific about the audience and the format. "A 5-slide deck for the steering committee" gets you closer than "a presentation".

Example prompts

PowerPoint

  • Create a steering committee deck from last week's meetings.
  • Make a 5-slide status update on the data migration workstream.

Excel

  • Build an Excel list of open risks with owner, impact and due date.
  • Put every action from this month's workshops in a spreadsheet, grouped by owner.

Word or PDF

  • Write a one-page summary of the decisions made in this project so far, as a Word document.
  • Turn today's meeting summary into a PDF I can send to the client.

What Tato draws on

Tato uses what's in your project, such as meeting summaries, the RAID log and documents you've shared with it. It can also search the web when you ask and web search is turned on for your organization. Tato only uses what you have access to.

Good to know

  • One file per request: to get several files, ask for each one. Tato can make them in the same chat.
  • Size: each file can be up to 50 MB.
  • Downloading: click the card in the chat to download the file. Anyone who can see the chat can download its files.
